HALF ICE LEAGUE (Late October Start – Early March Conclusion)

LOCATION: Body Zone Sports and Wellness Complex
HALF ICE LEAGUE (U6, U8 and beginner U10)
This league offers more structure in game play and rules.
The benefits of half ice for young players include: more touches of the puck, shots on net and passes.
This forces players to make quicker decisions due to the lack of time and space.
This format stresses the importance of puck possession, wanting to have the puck and wanting to get it back quickly when the other team has it.
Controlled line changes will ensure all players receive equal ice time.
What’s Included:
*12 weeks of Games - 1x 60 minute game slot per week = 3 Half ice games (Sunday afternoons) –
* 14 weeks of Practice - 1x 60 minute practice slot per week (Tuesday or Thursday nights)
* Playoff and Championship awards included
* Championship game to be played at SANTANDER ARENA
* Custom uniform provided (Jersey and socks) with last name and number
